Description

This theoretical training allows participants to acquire the basic knowledge and skills necessary to safely respond to a hazardous materials spill.

This training meets the requirements of:

  • Federal and provincial health and safety regulations
  • NFPA 1500 — NFPA 472

  • Understanding of and compliance with company safety rules
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations and provincial laws

Content
  • Laws and regulations applicable to hazardous materials spills
  • Understanding how to identify the substance concerned
  • Understanding Material Safety Data Sheets and other sources of information
  • Choosing and wearing PPE corresponding to the dangers exposed (A-B-C-D)
  • Applying the IAIAI protocol
